Compressed Natural Gas

is an alternative fuel. In Indonesia, we know of CNG as a gas fuel (BBG). This fuel is considered to be 'clean' when compared to fuel oil. CNG is made by compressing methane (CH4) that are extracted from natural gas. CNG is stored and distributed in a pressure vessel (200 – 300 bar).

Liquified Natural Gas

is natural gas that has been processed to remove impurities and heavy hydrocarbons and then condensed into a liquid by cooling it around -160°C on atmosphere condition. LNG is transported using special design vehicle and placed in a special design tank. LNG has a volume about 1/640 of natural gas at standard temperature and pressure, making it more efficient to be transported long distances where pipelines do not exist.

Pipeline Natural Gas

is a natural gas that the distribution is carried through special pipes. Currently in Indonesia gas pipelines owned by Pertamina and PGN and still localized separately in certain areas, for example in North Sumatra, Central Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, East Java and East Kalimantan.
